]]>Mont Blanc, in the heart of the Mont Blanc Massif, is the tallest peak in the Alps and the highest summit in Western Europe, hence its epithet the “Roof of Europe”. The mountain sits astride the Franco-Italian border, south of Chamonix and northwest of Courmayeur.
Even if conquering Mont Blanc takes less than a week with flights included, it’s a pretty technical ascent for which serious preparation needs to be done. To facilitate this, Extreme Expedition is adding to the package two free courses on winter hiking and technical climbing, organized in Romania’s mountains ahead of the Mont Blanc actual climb.
